International Driver Licenses

International driver licenses are available in Canada by application from any office of the Canadian Automobile Association. Their national site may be viewed at: http://www.caa.ca/english/travel/documentation/documentation.html.

International driver licenses are issued with a one year validity. A Canadian issued international driver license may be used in Japan, but it can be used only until the license expires or until one year from the date the bearer originally entered Japan, whichever comes first.
