As part of Government of Canada Workplace Charity Campaign, the Embassy of Canada in Tokyo will be holding a charity concert by Japanese Pianist Luna Inaba. Luna started playing the piano when she was 3 years old. Her first album gLuz de la Lunahwas released on the King Record label in 2002 while she was still a student of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. She has received many awards at domestic and international competitions and has appeared on various music related television shows. During this charity concert, she will perform music by Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, as well as Canadian Composer André Gagnon. Tickets are 4,000 yen and all proceeds will go to the Charity Campaign.

Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter will return to Japan for a full-fledged tour in November. Daniel Powter's self-titled debut release has sold over 700,000 copies in Japan, and his fan base continues to grow. Daniel and Japan seem to have a natural affinity for each other, and we look forward to a long, highly successful career from this outstanding singer-songwriter from British Columbia, Canada.
