Francophonie Festival 2007 at the Embassy of Canada

As both English and French are official languages of Canada, the Embassy of Canada will sponsor a number of events showcasing Canada as a member of La Francophonie, the association of French-speaking countries. The events include an exhibition by painter Gaston Petit, a native of Quebec now residing in Japan, a screening of last year's hit film White Planet, a full-length documentary on the harsh natural conditions and animals of the Arctic, and a lecture program by three speakers specializing in French Canadian culture, society and performing arts.
